The Eena Project is a non profit group that provides education for beach communities. In order to do so, we are funded by those that donate. We have several items that we will send to those to thank you for your help. DONATE |

Rip Current Escape If you are caught in a rip current, you will feel like you are being pulled out further. STAY CALM You will not be able to swim directly back to shore. Instead SWIM PARALLEL Until you are out the rip current and swim diagonal back to shore |
The Eena Project was created to educate others on rip currents and other beach related hazards. In September of 2006, Kristina (Eena) Koles drowned as a result of a rip current on The Outer Banks. She was our daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend. Education is key and we do not want any other families to experience the tragedy we had that day. Please use this site and the links to educate your family. |
| Craig Jennings Golf Tournament & Casino Night This year, we are honored to be a part of the Annual Craig Jennings Golf Tournament and Casino Night. In September of 2005, while vacationing with his family on the Outer Banks, Craig Jennings drowned as a result of a rip current. He and his 3 1/2-year-old daughter were swept away by a rip current while wading in shallow water. Craig, aided by a surfer, heroically saved his daughter, but in the end was unable to save himself. He was only 37 years old and in good physical condition. Just a few years eariler, Craig and his wife Karen were married on the Outer Banks. This fund was set up by his friends and family to help his two daughters, Amanda and Ashley. The family and friends are now expanding their efforts to help the Eena Project. Please take some time to visit their website to learn more about their event. www.craigjennings.org Check back with us after the event for updates and more information on this amazing event organized to remember a great friend, relative, father, and husband. |
